Spring Display

Jennifer does such a good job at displaying all our stuff.
The large green screen in the background sold. I have been looking for another set to do in cream.
I am working on a small wooden bed/cot. I need to make it a custom size matress and then cover it with blue ticking.

Blue Secretary

An egg blue secretary desk. It was white. I sanded it a bit, painted, sanded more and finished with a walnut stain. The hardware was nice and didnt change it

The inside needed to be painted too. I thought it would be nice displayed open with a vignette on it.

Hobo Bag

I found this very shabby and chic leather bag while junking. The top layer of leather has come off most of it. The handle was replaced by rope.
Can you believe they wanted 5$ for it? Can you believe I bought it?
I took it to Jennifer's not knowing if she would 'get it'. She did.
Right now it has some twigs in it but I think it would also look neat if a vase of flowers was in it. Like giant hydrangeas.

Sunny Saturday

I picked up a few of these blank wood stools. The first one I just painted but this one I knew I wanted to cover. It got a few layers of batting, linen and a double pink doily on top.
The barn was a bare wood and I thought it needed to be blue. I thought it would be neat to display items in.

A black hutch that was a crummy faux oak. I painted the back walls a mustard. I thought if it was black it would be too cavey. I changed out the hardware to black rings.

Blue Cherries Cabinet

The blue hutch. Tah dah.
Not easy to take a picture in a window.
Big news...we are building a barn shop for all my projects. It will be a 2 story marvel. If only i could snap my fingers and have it done NOW.

A Whole Mess of Stuff

Years and years ago my mom and I bought all the brown transferware we could find. Then I packed it away for years and years. Last fall, around Thanksgiving, I took it over to Jennifer's (Laughing Daisy in Kimberly) and it did very well. I still have some left and they look great with my new favorite, faux moss covered rocks.

Here is what I got done today. My husband will be so happy I made a dent in the garage.

Huge vintage blackboard with blue trim. Jennifer says she has a bunch of old school stuff and this will go great with it.
White shabby mirror and quilt/towel rack.

People seem to love the chippy off white so here is more of it. A cute scalloped table, tray, and foot stool.
A blue chicken wire basket and blue salt pig. The primitive child's broom and wire rack came from the last trip. Behind is a blue cork/chalk board.
The blue frame is a mirror for Mia's room.
In the top picture is a red metal cake and 2 pie stacker. I ordered 2 vinyls to put on the outside. One that says pies and one that says cake. I'll show you when it is done.
Also in the top pic is a blue foot stool with a bare top. I am thinking of making a stuff fabric top for. Maybe using some lace doilies.

Spring Colors!

It may have started with the worn clothes pin hanging rack behind the doll. The pegs are old fashioned clothespegs. I had a wooden ironing table that I wasnt going to use so I took that in too.

I had an old iron and plenty of vintage girl's dresses. Jennifer did such a great display job.

A doll size dresser given a lovely coat of blue.

Room divider made from 3 doors. They were already green but I roughed them up a bit and gave the surface a walnut stain. The hinged were given a faux copper treatment.
